The first event is being held on Saturday May 7th, 2011 on a new course out in Dover, DE with the added spectacle of the racers starting in a c-130 Hercules cargo plane at the Air Mobility Command Museum. Registration for this race is now open here
If you want to be in contention for the custom winners jersey from Pactimo at the end of the series you better get training!
I've seen various reports of this event being "22 miles" or "23 miles". Any chance of getting an exact measure? Similar comment applies to St Augustine and to the new Shenandoah TT.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Stephen.
Per the Deep Blue organisers: The course is somewhere in between 22 and 23 miles based upon the location of the plane, which will be the starting point!
ReplyDeleteAhh, so there is no guarantee it will be on the ground when we go "flying" off the ramp?
ReplyDeleteWhat are the distances of the remaining 4 TTs?
ReplyDeleteDeep Blue #1 will be 22-23miles.
ReplyDeleteBoth Church Creek races are 40km.
Shenandoah has yet to be confirmed but probably around the 15-20mile mark.
